RTA USA 2008: Westsiiiide!!!
to Gov. Swartzinager for the motorcade escort in. The fireworks were a
nice touch. Thanks to everyone for posting on the blog, the comments
kept us amused. Big thanks to Mit for joining me on this trip, I would
have looked a lot worse than the Utah pic if I did it alone. Everyone
on the eastside, stay in touch and have an Arizona burger for me!
RTA USA 2008: Home Stretch
We just passed Sacramento. Switched up drivers. Nimesh knows Cali
roads better anyways. So yeah, probably 2-3 hours left depending on
traffic and home sweet home.
RTA USA 2008: Damn Cali drivers
over to sunny California!!! Only 4 more hours or driving, one of which
will be sweet Cali traffic, and I'll be paying more for gas and double
my car insurance payments, woot! wait...
RTA USA 2008: 401K Check
a helpful reminder to make sure your 401K is solid. The pic shows what
Money magazine suggests... What? I use my down effectively what?!?
RTA USA 2008: Nanuk in Nevada
government to save the human race. We were like, "Yeah, whatever".
Then the president called, "I was like what up dog!" He explained the
critical situation and informed us that Nimesh's 2005 Camry was
implanted with a super secret microprocessor created by the Japanese
that could regulate the earths core temperature and we were the worlds
last hope.
There is a moment in everyones lives where you have to make the
biggest decision of your life, besides paper or plastic. For two
adventurous travels this is ours. We can't let everyone down.
And so our real journey begins. The road trip was just a cover. We
already stopped at Area 51 to get intelligence and pick up supplies.
Side note, if we told you the shit we seen in Area 51...dam!
Little did we know that Nanuk was implanted with a navigation unit
and he will be our guide.
So we bid adieu to you all in the hopes that our mission is a success.
Remember when they erect the statues in our honor that I am holding a
really really really big gun. Nimesh just wants to make sure his hair
is styled as realistic as possible.
With that I leave you with this last word of wisdom, "the".
P.S. - Since we are saving the world and all, we made one demand and
it was to tell us how "Lost" the series ends. And one word "totally-
awesome". Ok two words.
Amit out!
RTA USA 2008: Flashing lights
resort blah blah.
Anyone want me to put some NCAA bets down...hehe
RTA USA 2008: Nevada
Welcome to Nevada. This picture is supposed to be the Nevada sign, use
your imagination. Correction on last post it was supposed to be 520
miles to Reno. So now we are about 400 miles to Reno. Math might be
off for those of you who are paying close attention to what I am
writing (thanks UB40!)
For some reason my iPhone changed from MST to CDT, instead of MST to
PST. I guess my phone wants to go back to MD.
RTA USA 2008: On the road again
Don't be fooled by the smiling face we are groggy and cold. Another
early start. Approximately 520 miles to across Nevada and another 300
after that to home.
Hopefully better cell coverage for the remainder of trip.
Holla!

RTA USA 2008: Big Pimpin'
We living large tonight! Made it to Salt Lake City as planned. It
cold out here can't wait for Cali warm weather.
RTA USA 2008: Back on track
handle. Cell Service was really bad that is the reason for the lack of
posts.

As you can see from the picture we can't see 50 ft ahead of us. We are using this truck as our guide. Blowing snow on mountain grade roads. We are driving extremely carefully which means this will set us back in regards to how much ground we cover today.
Ok peace the out home freshies, we will check in once we are out of this crappy weather.

RTA USA 2008: Nanuk
us for our first trip from Cali to MD 2.5 years ago. He gets to go
back home with Nimesh.
RTA USA 2008: Change of scenery..,
Wyoming is proving to be not as boring as that other state before we
passed through which was so boring I forgot its name already.
If you look closely in the pic you can see the mountains with snowy
tops. We switched again, Nimesh is driving, he is now battling the
mountain terrain along with 40mph wind gusts. I don't think Japanese
cars were meant got this, but it's holding up well even though
sometimes we had to feed it with some janky no name gas.
RTA USA 2008: catching up
Wow was Nebraska boring. Also there was some limited cell phone
coverage. Nimesh tried to post some stuff and didn't go through. Don't
worry you guys didn't miss much.
We are in Wyoming now getting a bite to eat. About 350miles until Utah
border. We will probably stop over in Salt Lake tonight.
Hopefully we will come a across more interesting things in Wyoming.
RTA USA 2008: Day 2
Just left hotel. On the road again. Not much here really to take
photos of, so i took a picture of our breakfast. The picture is blurry
because our eyes are blurry from the early morning start. Thats my
story and I'm sticking to it.
We have travelled approx. 1058 miles of 2800, which is pretty decent.
Time to drive, check in later.

RTA USA 2008: Des Moines, Iowa
We have checked into the quality inn hotel off of hwy 235 exit 8a on
3rd St.
Eat some food and get to sleep. Early start again tommorrow.
RTA USA 2008: Iowa
We have just crossed into Iowa. Approx. 150 miles from Des Moines.
Which is most likely our first overnight stop.
Here is a Iowa fun fact. Some famous Iowans: john wayne, president
herbert Hoover, William "buffalo bill" Cody, Frederick Maytag
(inventor) and Johnny Carson.
Apparently Iowa had to cut budget on state signs, which results in the
pitiful picture below. Something about spending money on childrens
education. Whatever. Maybe the children could read if they made the
signs bigger, huh - did you think of that Iowa?
Nimesh is driving and rocking away to The Killers. Special K-Rock
edition!
RTA USA 2008: Nimesh
Nimesh Mistry. About 4pm CDT. We just ate after almost 6 hours of me
driving. If I had more would have kept driving but then I would not
be able to feel my legs. My iphone battery was dying and for some
reason charger no worky. But I came up with a make shift way to charge
until we stop tonight - I know right, I am like Jack "Macgyver" Bauer.
Still in Illinois on our way to Des Moise, Iowa. If all goes well we
may even reach Omaha, Nebraska tonight. Also we gained an hour with
EST to CDT time change.
Please keep posting comments, gives us something to read.

Road Trip Across USA 2008: Ohio
Still working on my picture taking in moving car skills.
Road Trip Across USA 2008: Part One
border. Haven't seen any Amish horse and buggies in PA, kind of
disappointing.
Nimesh still driving. Pictured here is the fuel that is keeping us
awake this early. Purple is fruit punch flavor and red is dragon
fruit??? Either way first thought that came to mind when we tried the
energy drinks was how it would taste with vodka. Pretty darn good me
thinks.
Smells like skunks for about 10 miles, that our someone in the car is
lying...haha.
Next update should be from Ohio...
